The meat industry is a major player in the private sector, and a great contributor to the economy. From production, to processing and distribution, many people rely on the industry for their livelihood. Thus, we cannot ignore to look into sustainability of the sector.
Part of that is by going ahead of the grid to ensure that we observe the best practice right from the rearing of the animals to the packaging of ready products.

At KenMeat we have owned up the entire production process to ensure we monitor and adopt practices that promote sustainability. This not only means ensuring that we can deliver on the amounts required at a given time, but that there is a future that is sustainable where meat production is concerned.
Through our partnership with pastoralists we are able to monitor their processes to guarantee sustainable livestock production. On our end, we employ sustainable measures in meat processing and distribution.

Kenmeat cares for the environment. We appreciate the environmental sustainability challenges that currently exist and we are committed to making the best use of the available resources. We conserve the environment by recycling our water. We have a water recycling system that ensures water is used in the best efficient way possible. The water used is cleaned up and filtered, and then re-used.
